The series of jewelry titled “Preservation of Dreams for the future” is inspired by the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, a safety warehouse for seeds from all over the world, built in the permafrost. Many dreams have been on hold in the last two years. Through long winters there it always dreams of sun, light, warmth, better times and nature coming alive. In the cold season many animals go into hibernation, and so do I. Less social life and the desire to stay under a warm cover.

(In the permafrost, 1300 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, is the world's largest safety warehouse for seeds. It was opened by the Norwegian government in February 2008. Boxes of seeds from all over the globe are sent here, for safe and secure long-term storage in cold and dry mountain halls. The goal of the seed vault is to preserve the great genetic variation within the world's food plants. Every single seed sample has the potential to be of great benefit to farmers, researchers and processors, when producing food for a growing population. Svalbard Global Seed Vault is a worldwide insurance for food supply for future generations.)

(I permafrosten, 1300 kilometer nord for polarsirkelen, ligger verdens største sikkerhetslager for frø.
